The Ankara University FISAUM has been carrying out its annual courses on “The Intellectual and the Industrial Ownership Rights – The National and the International Practice” since 1997. In these courses, where the participation is increasing every year,  FISAUM fulfills its duty of raising awareness of society in the field of intellectual and industrial rights, which is envisaged in its establishment. The aim of the course is to provide participants with a general overview of the basic issues of intellectual and industrial rights from the perspective of all actors in IP. Therefore, the lectures of the course are given by the professors of Ankara University, experts from Turkish Patent Institute, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Trade Mark and Patent Attorneys, Attorney-in Laws and the Judges of Intellectual and Industrial Courts and the Supreme Court. In addition to its annual course, FISAUM also arranges specific courses upon the request of the public and private bodies. FİSAUM arranged a particular IPR course for the members of the Ankara Bar on “The Legal Aspects of the Intellectual Property Rights” in Ankara Bar between the dates of 15th of May to 9th of June 2006.
