fisaum1[1]    On 7th of June 2018 Seminar on “Protection and Commercialization of Inventions in Universities”

Seminar held on the occasion of closing of the 2017 – 2018 term of Master’s degree program in English conducted in collaboration with Ankara University, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and World Intellectual Property Organisation began with the opening remarks by Prof. Erkan İbiş (Rector, Ankara University), Martha Chikowore (Training Officer, WIPO), Cemil Başpınar (Vice-President, TÜRKPATENT) and Prof. Arzu Oğuz (Director, FİSAUM). University Inventions and Technology Transfer-Different Approaches, Support Mechanisms in Patenting and Licensing Processes and the Experiences of Ankara University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) were discussed by Prof. Uma Suthersanen (Queen Mary University of London), Prof. Ayşe Boztosun (Akdeniz University), Ceren Bora Orçun (TÜRKPATENT), Prof. Ali Sınağ (Ankara University), Şebnem Doğan (Ankara University), Özlem Yazır (Ankara University). In the third session, presentations  were delivered by the graduates of 2017 – 2018 term.

fisaum1[1]On 12th  of February 2018 Summit on “Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0. and Intellectual Property”

Seminar held on the occasion of opening of the 2017 – 2018 term of Master’s degree program in English conducted in collaboration with Ankara University, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and World Intellectual Property Organisation began with the opening remarks by Prof. Erkan İbiş (Rector, Ankara University), Martha Chikowore (Training Officer, WIPO), Prof. Arzu Oğuz (Director, FİSAUM), Hakan Canduran, Attorney at Law (President, Ankara Bar Association) and Prof. Habip Asan (President, TÜRKPATENT). Artificial intelligence and industry 4.0 are discussed in their technical, legal aspects along with particulary in terms of intellectual property law. Kudret Ceran (Ministry of Economy), Assist. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Eriş (Anadolu University), Bager Akbay (Founding partner at İskele47), Assit. Prof. Dr. Başak Bak (İzmir Economy University), Korcan Dericioğlu, Attorney at law (Ankara Patent Office), Assit. Prof. Dr. Armağan Bozkurt Yüksel (Dokuz Eylül University), Peter Slowinski (Max Planck Innovation and Competition) and Tony Tangena (Former President, European Patent Institute) delivered their presentations during the sessions moderated by Prof. Arzu Oğuz and Özgür Semiz (Ministry of Culture).

Seminar held on the occasion of closing of the 2017 – 2018 term of Master’s degree program in English conducted in collaboration with Ankara University, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and World Intellectual Property Organisation began with the opening remarks by Prof. Erkan İbiş (Rector, Ankara University), Martha Chikowore (Training Officer, WIPO), Prof. Habip Asan (President, TÜRKPATENT) and Prof. Arzu Oğuz (Director, FİSAUM). Current and important aspects of trademark law in the light of judicial judgments and decisions rendered by TÜRKPATENT were discussed by the presentations delivered by Selin Günel, Yaşın Gizem Erdoğan Karslı, Sevgi Kapucu ve Dilan Karatepe Yılmaz (Industrial Property Examiners at TÜRKPATENT) during the session moderated by Prof. Arzu Oğuz.

fisaum1[1]On 16th and 17th October 2009 Seminar on “Alternative Dispute Resolution”

The Seminar was held in Istanbul in co-operation with FİSAUM and IP Desk at Italian Consulate in Istanbul. Lots of Turkish and foreign academicians, lawyers and judges participated in the seminar.

fisaum1[1]On 11th and the 12th of May 2006 the TAIEX Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights- a Comparison between the European Union Legislation and Turkish Law 

The seminars was held in Ankara in co-operation with the Ankara University FISAUM and the Konrad -Adenauer-Stiftung of Germany. In this seminar, the representatives from various EC member states –in particular those who have recently joined the Community- and their Turkish colleagues (academics and patent-trademark attorneys) have mutually shared and discussed their experiences in the way to EC in relation to the intellectual property issues. Within this sphere, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Finland, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia were represented in the seminar.

fisaum1[1]On 20th and 25th of April, 2006: Seminars on “Informatics and Intellectual Property in Technology Centers”

FİSAUM organized one seminar in the Technology Center of Middle East Technical University on 20th of April and one seminar in the Technology Center of İstanbul Technical University on the 25th of April with fund provided by Technology Development Foundation of Turkey from World Bank. The aim of the seminar series is to increase the awareness of rights of computer programmers. The papers were published.

fisaum1[1]From 11th of November to 22nd of December 2005, Seminars on “Intellectual Property Seminars for SME’s”

Series of private sector seminars were held by the Ankara University FISAUM, namely “the TOBB Seminars” to inform the representatives of the small or medium sized industry about the basic industrial property issues, initially in nine big cities of Turkey, The seminars were particular for and open to the members of the Turkish local trade chambers and held under the authority and with the valuable contribution of the TOBB.
